ASK DR. SCHELLING I am hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year and although I am very excited to have all of my family and friends over, I'm worried about my cat Trouble. He can be a bit of a handful, hence the name, and I want to make sure that he'll be safe and comfortable with all the festivities that will be happening in my home that day. Is there anything I can do for him? –Troubled Thanksgiving |

DEAR FANCY, I will be traveling for the holidays this year and want to take my cat along because my parents have yet to meet their newest "granimal." Do you have any tips on how to make the trip for my cat a smooth one? –Linda … … … … Dear Linda, I don't know too much about travel, I prefer to hang out around the office, but I asked a few Mews staffers and the first thing they said was book an appointment to see your vet to make sure your cat is in tip top shape to travel and don't forget to pack things that will make your cat comfortable like his bed and favorite toys for when you arrive at your destination. We've got lots of other tips in this article on traveling with cats. |

VROOM AROUND THE ROOM LASER TOY: I don't know where this red dot comes from, but it drives me nuts. Oh boy, when I catch him you'll hear about it! No wonder they call it "Vroom Around The Room" that thing goes everywhere and fast! PLAY-N-SQUEAK BALL OF FURRY FURY: I get a little paw eye coordination workout with this toy. The mouse doesn't seem to want to come out of his ball but that's OK because I love swatting at it and chasing the ball all around the office. The mouse even lets out a squeak every now and then which gets me even more revved up for play! Have a favorite product you want to review? Send it to askfancy@mewsletter.com |
